There are so many things people worry about regarding food. In far too many places it's simply wondering where the next meal will come from and how to get enough to eat to remain healthy. For others, often in the West like myself, actually eating too much food is a worry and the food waste we see in wealthy countries is enough to shame us all. We also worry about where our food has come from, whether exploitation and cruelty has been involved in its production, whether it's sustainable and if large amounts of fossil fuels have been used to bring it to us.

There are so many things to act on that it is easy to become bewildered, but it might be of some help to and eat as much as we can from our own countries, and to buy fruit and vegetables in season. It's a simple thing and yet easy to forget - I know because I do myself. I came across this handy web page the Vegetarian Society has published today which lists the fruit and vegetables which are in season each month of the year in the UK.
